But yeah a front flip was completely unheard of until recently. It's like.. how do you pull a rotation like that on a motoX bike.

Here's what I had to say:

Poor guy, the hit was damn hard!
However, I don't understand why he didn't even try to recover in the air. Lack of riding skill maybe?
He was turning the handlebars as soon as he launched off the ramp, in turn causing the rear of the bike to whip out. The same technique with any normal whip.
Once he had completed the rotation of the backflip, he was coming into the landing with the handlebars completely locked to the right holding the whip and ensuring the bike would remain totally sideways on landing.
I thought any motoX rider would have turned the handlebars the other way to pull out of the whip and recover, but not this guy.
I find it quite strange. Maybe he just shit himself mid-air and mind went blank?

To me, that shows inexperience. His handlebars were locked to the right most of the way through the trick.

hmm bars werent cocked until he spotted his landing if you suss it again.

i think he spotted his landing, freaked a little (thinking maybe his rotation wasnt going to be right) and prepared for the bail and froze up..

ive had similar happen many times, flips can do some silly shit to you mid trick sometimes. literally a 20% physical, 80% mental thing.

I would agree with that. But still.. if he's up to the stage of confidently doing backflips on the bike, he would at least know how to recover. It was the end of the trick, and the only difference was it was in a 'slight' whip when he completed the rotation. He had plenty of air time to recover.. so yeah.. definitely just freaked out and froze.
Just look at that vid of Higashino, and how finely he cuts it with some of his tricks. Put him in the same situation and I think he would've attempted to bring the bike back into line.

Again, this is only my opinion. Maybe a vid from a different angle would help clear it up.
